Introduction:

Welcome to yet another one of my travelogs - this one being for Alaska. From the 13th to the 23rd of May, my parents and I took a "Diamond Princess" cruise tour up North to the strange and intriguing 49th state of the USA, to see if all the tales of "glacier icecap and polar bear country" were true.

I'm not too sure about being "Baked in Alaska", but I think I heard the phrase somewhere. And though I didn't suffer through any effect involving pastry or the like there, I did see and experience quite a lot. And while photos alone are merely two-dimensional and cannot account for the other senses tt are enveloped by the sheer wonder of what you can see up North, I hope tt you will get some idea of how beautiful it can be, far away from the norm of city life.
